Oceanwide Center is close to reaching the bottom of the excavation for the First Street tower and excavation activities will continue 24 hours a day on the our site. We are also hard at work building out the basement levels of the Mission Street tower.

Mitchell Engineering will continue site utility work for the Oceanwide Center development. The work includes the installation of storm drain laterals on First Street and on Stevenson Streets. High impact noise is continued to be expected from 8:00PM to 12:00AM, followed by low impact noise from 12:00AM to 6:00AM.

After a successful foundation pour on the Mission Street tower, we are now forming and pouring the walls and floors that will make up the below grade levels of this exciting project. We are close to reaching the bottom of the excavation for the First Street tower and excavation activities will continue 24 hours a day on the our site.

Apr 18, 2019 Update

There will be a temporary closure of Ecker Street between Jessie Street and Mission Street this Saturday, April 20th from 7:00AM to 5:00PM. Our team will be replacing the overhead protection that was temporarily removed during the large concrete pour for the Mission Street tower foundation. Other activity on site will remain very similar the previous weeks. Excavation will continue 24 hours a day on the First Street site.

Mar 29, 2019 Update

This is a reminder that Oceanwide Center will be pouring the foundation mat slab for the Mission Street tower on Friday March 29 and Saturday March 30. During this time the area will experience heavy traffic with the trucks needed for this massive concrete pour. We will always try to perform this work with as little disruption as possible to the neighborhood and we want to make the community aware of some important dates below. We are continuing to work closely with with the City and County of San Francisco to minimize these impacts to the greatest extent possible. Jessie St and the portion of Ecker St between Jessie St and Mission St will be closed to traffic from Friday evening until Saturday evening.

Other activity on site will remain very similar the previous weeks. Excavation will continue 24 hours a day on the First Street site.

Mar 15, 2019 Update

We are very excited as the Oceanwide Center project approaches another major milestone at the end of this month. We will be pouring the foundation mat slab for the Mission Street tower on Friday March 29th and Saturday March 30th. During this time the area will experience heavy traffic with the trucks needed for this massive concrete pour. We will always try to perform this work with as little disruption as possible to the neighborhood and we want to make the community aware of some important dates below. We are continuing to work closely with with the City and County of San Francisco to minimize these impacts to the greatest extent possible. We also want to remind everyone that this Saturday March 16th, San Francisco will host it’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The overhead protection along Ecker Street street will be temporarily removed the weekend of March 23rd in preparation for the foundation pour of the Mission Street tower. It will be reinstalled the weekend after the foundation pour is completed. Jessie Street and Ecker Street will be closed to through traffic on Saturday March 23rd, Friday March 29th, Saturday March 30th, and Saturday April 6th.

Jan 10, 2019 Update

Happy New Year! We have completed the excavation on the Mission Street site and are preparing the site for foundation work. We expect large concrete pours for our foundation to begin in March. Excavation on the First Street site is progressing and will continue over the next several months. We will continue to operate on site 24 hours per day during this time.

PG&E has completed their night work on the corner of Second Street and Mission Street. Our next planned night work will be for utility connections along First Street and we will provide you with a more detailed schedule in the coming weeks.
